Two local teams had players recognized when coaches released their votes for all-district players.
In Class 4A, Makenna Altgilbers of Keokuk was selected to the Southeast District team and in 3A, Central Lee澳门开奖 Taylor Jones was selected.
Central Lee sophomore Jones, a 5-10 outside hitter for the Hawks, earned All-Southeast District honors after averaging 3.7 kills per set (360 total) on .314 efficiency. She averaged 3.2 digs (312 total) and 0.9 blocks (84 total) per set. She was 197-of-224 (87.9 percent) from the service line with 17 aces.
Central Lee finished with a 12-26 record and made the final rounds of the Super Conference volleyball tournament after starting the season 2-17.
Altgilbers earned All-Southeast District accolades playing hitter in both the middle and outside and was on the floor though all rotations by the Chiefs.
Altgilbers hit 292 kills, an average of 3.5 kills per set on 10.7 attempts. She had an average of 3.1 digs per set (262 total) and 0.4 blocks (36 total). Her serve was good for 45 aces (0.5 aces per set), serving at a 92.9 percent success rate (286-of-308).
The Chiefs won their first match of the season and the first match of the postseason for the first time in recent memory.
