A West Point couple is facing multiple felony drug charges following a raid on their home last month.

Peggy Ann Huffman, 59, and Richard Edward Huffman, 60, have both been charged with three counts of a controlled substance violation (one class C felony, two class D felonies), four counts of failure to affix a drug stamp (class D felonies), keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation (aggravated misdemeanor), three counts of possession of a controlled substance-first offense (serious misdemeanor), possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine-first offense (serious misdemeanor),and possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).

On Oct. 6, the Lee County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at their home, located on the 2500 block of 165th Street.

The warrant came after a Lee County Sheriff澳门开奖 deputy discovered several marijuana plants growing on the back porch of the home during a call for service, according to court documents.

According to criminal complaints, investigators found the following at the home during their search of the property:

  • Nine potted marijuana plants growing outside of the residence;
  • Drug paraphernalia described as 鈥渉itter pipes,鈥 鈥済rinders,鈥 鈥渢ooter straws,鈥 and 鈥渂ongs;鈥
  • 65 grams of psilocybin mushrooms;
  • Several mason jars and plastic baggies containing a total of 213 grams of marijuana;
  • 383 MDMA pills;
  • 28 packages of edible THC gummies;
  • 19 packages of THC vape cartridges;
  • Two vials containing a total of one gram of cocaine;and
  • 2.5 grams of methamphetamine;

A warrant for their arrests was issued on Oct. 18, according to court documents.

The two were both arrested on Tuesday and released from custody after posting bond, according to the Lee County Jail.
